Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan powered by HaJaTec®
Grilling, Steaming, Smoking & Aromatizing to Perfection

The Grill & Flavoring Pan for the perfect steak.
A must-have for the innovative chef.

A World First

A pan is about to revolutionize the grilling and cooking world! A steak grilled over charcoal represents the highest form of meat preparation—just like hot-smoked salmon or shrimp steamed in red wine.

From gourmet kitchens to country inns and snack bars. Beef fillet, sea bream, or burgers – the most common method of preparation is frying with fat. Whether in a frying pan or on a so-called grill plate, cooking in fat (sterile, moist heat) destroys most of the vitamins and nutrients.

Of course, such methods produce delicious dishes, but if you want the "non plus ultra," charcoal is the only way. This method uses dry, aromatic heat that quickly seals the surface while preserving vitamins and nutrients. The high temperatures create a variety of roasted aromas, resulting in an irresistible flavor.

And this is exactly where the Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan comes into play. With a diameter of 280 mm, it fits into any kitchen. Its performance and grilling results are optimally tuned. You can easily grill 5 fillet steaks at 350 g each at the same time. Even a 1.5 kg Tomahawk is no problem.

Energy consumption is highly efficient and uses two energy sources: one from the stove (electric or gas) that is adjustable and instantly available, and the other from glowing charcoal created in a special ember container. The glowing charcoal evenly heats the grill rack, providing optimal grilling temperatures. Quick and easy regulation allows for the preparation of various dishes in no time and seamless temperature changes (e.g., steak – 300°C, then fish – 140°C).

The Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan was also designed for smoking and steaming, making it a true grill & aromatization pan. A grill rack positioned above the Satoo® allows meat to rest optimally, utilizing the radiant heat of the pan without requiring additional space.

Operating the Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan is simple. Existing kitchen conditions are completely sufficient. No special requirements are needed to use the pan — only a functioning kitchen ventilation system.

WHAT I CAN DO! Impress. Be unique.

Applications & Usage

The Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan offers highly versatile use. Ideal for grilling, smoking, steaming, or simply frying or cooking.

The Satoo® requires an external energy source. This can be a gas burner or stove, induction hob, electric cooker, coal stove, or even an open flame. The grill rack’s temperature depends on the power of the energy source, which should deliver at least 8 kW for optimal grilling results.

Below is an explanation of how to use the Satoo® for grilling, smoking, steaming, smoking (again), frying, or cooking:

GRILLING: Heat the Satoo®, then place or sprinkle glowing charcoal or chips onto the rack. Use a brass brush to clear the grill and push the coals into the holes. Once the desired temperature is reached, place your steak on the rack.

SMOKING: Heat the Satoo®. Sprinkle chips onto it and spread them with a brass brush. You can now place, for example, salmon (on a cedar plank) onto the grill and cover it with the cloche.

STEAMING: Pour liquid (e.g., wine) into the cold or lukewarm Satoo®. Then heat gently on medium. Place shrimp, for example, on the grill and cover with the cloche.

SMOKING (again): Sprinkle chips on the grill, spread with a brass brush, set the temperature, place the smoking item on the grill, and cover with the cloche.

FRYING/COOKING: Remove the grill rack. You can now use the pan body to fry eggs or prepare goulash, soups, and more.

Why is the Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan the Perfect Solution?

Now the question arises: Is the Satoo® a pan or a charcoal grill? In our opinion, the best way to cook steaks is over a charcoal grill.

What is a charcoal grill?
A charcoal grill is a grate under or on which organic material such as glowing charcoal, wood chips, dried herbs, etc., is heated and the food is cooked. The resulting dry and aromatic heat, which quickly sears the surface, preserves vitamins and nutrients, creates various roasted flavors through high temperatures, and retains the meat’s juiciness, ensures perfect consistency and an irresistible taste.

Thanks to the high temperatures, the Satoo® is extremely powerful, allowing steaks to grill for just two to three minutes per side. Despite its compact size, the Satoo® can grill six filet steaks of 250g simultaneously. Even a 1.5kg tomahawk steak is no challenge.

Energy consumption is very efficient. With the Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan, you can always maintain the desired temperature for individual preparation. The heat from the stove is directed upward. This is mostly contact heat and a small amount of convection heat. Thanks to the quick and easy regulation of the energy source, it’s possible to switch between temperatures in no time and thus prepare various dishes. Whether high heat for the perfect steak or low heat for smoking — the Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan handles it all effortlessly.

To aromatize your dishes, simply sprinkle a mix of your favorite spices with some wood chips on the pan. Suitable spices could include bay leaves or rosemary. Aromatizing with red wine, for instance when preparing shrimp, is also possible with the pan. Even without chips or coal, the Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan delivers excellent grilling results.

Material

The Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan is made from high-quality materials: stainless steel 1.4301, 1.4871, and cast iron — all in solid material thicknesses.

The Satoo® Grill & Flavoring Pan by HaJaTec® is a cast iron pan with a mobile diamond-shaped grate measuring 15 x 15 mm and available in different thicknesses: 35, 30, and 25 mm. The bar thickness is 5 mm, and the grate has a diameter of 274 mm. The handle is made of stainless steel and is screwed to the cast pan. An opposing adapter is also screwed to the cast pan. It serves as a holder for a slot and threaded rod. This rod is 300 mm high and allows height adjustment of the resting rack. The resting rack is also a round grate with a diameter of 280 mm and is made of stainless steel. It can be adjusted in height as needed and serves as a resting rack for the food.
